The Book of Smokeless Fire. (Out of Print)
by Qayin, S Ben
Book ID: A47806, A47806
np. [ South Carolina ]: Nephilim Press, 2014. First Edition Hardcover. Octavo. [iv] + 190pp. Black faux leather boards elaborately embellished in copper on front board. Edition limited to 500 hand numbered copies. Cloth book marker. Pictorial endpapers. B/w illustrations by Robert Cook. Preface by Robert Podgurski, author of The Sacred Alignments & Dark Side of Sigils. The Book of Smokeless Fire describes a ritual practice drawn from a little known Solomonic text known as Miscelaneo de Salomon, (published in English under the title Book of Deadly Names) which apparently "gives the earliest known account of King Solomon and his binding of the seventy-two sinister Djinn" that later evolved into the "Goetia." S. Ben Qayin has used modern techniques of magickal evocation to rework the material in this ancient text so as to present an innovative and "fully workable" system of magick. In the process he also explores the similarities between the Miscelaneo de Salomon and Lovecraft's Necronomicon.
