BLAKE BOOKS Annotated Catalogues of William Blake's Writings in Illuminated Printing, in Conventiona (Used)
by Blake) Bentley, G. E
Book ID: 3806, 3806
Martino reprint of the 1977 OUP edition, with additions by Bentley especially for this reprint. Very large thick 8vo, publ's thick blue fabrikoid, spine lettered as the OUP edition, 1,079pp plus 37pp postscript. The definitive Blake reference, amazingly useful, one of my favorite bibliographies. I relish any opportunity to use it, even for trivial matters, which often turn out not to be so trivial thanks to Bentley's erudition and diligence. Bentley describes perhaps 4,000 titles, with many interesting notes, some of considerable length. Highly recommended, this is a truly useful and interesting bibliography. Blake's enormous influence is made quite apparent here. Fans of the Kathleen Raine school (such as myself) will find Bentley's anti-mystical stance obnoxious in places. New copies in stock, reduced from the published price of $135.00.

The manuscript appears and disappears throughout history, from the library of the Holy Roman Emperor Rudolf II to a secret sale of books in 1903 by the Society of Jesus in Rome. The book s language has eluded deciphe...More

After surviving a serious elevator crash in London, Howard G. Charing found he had developed healing touch as well as the ability to hear voices and experience visions--just as a healer in Italy had predicted only a week before the accident. He began using his abilities to heal but felt he needed more guidance and training. He first connected with a national spiritual healing organization, only to be told he was doing everything wrong. Then, through a friend, he discovered shamanism.
