Codex Rosae Crucis. D.O.M.A. A Rare & Curious Manuscript of Rosicrucian Interest. Second Ed (1974) (Out of Print)
by Hall, Manly P
Book ID: A20105, A20105
Philosophical Research Society, 1974. no isbn given. Small maroon quarto with gold Rosicrucian icon on front board. 113 pages. "Codex Rosae Crucis. - D.O.M.A. - A Rare & Curious Manuscript of Rosicrucian Interest, Now Published for the First Time in Its Original Form. Introduction & Commentary by Manly P. Hall. Numerous Illustrations from Early Books & Manuscripts of the Order." Originally published in 1938 in an edition of only 1000 copies, this 1974 printing of the second edition features a new introduction to the edition by Manly P Hall adding notes on CG Jung's glosses on the original 1938 work as well as notes on additional information that had come to light in the intervening years. Published in a smaller format than the 1938 original, this printing maintains only the rubricated title page (though not the rubricated drop caps and manuscript pages) of the original, and returns to the "cleaned up" color line drawings of the original 1938 edition, rather than the color photographic reproductions of the original manuscript pages instead of the 1971 first printing of the second edition. The reproductions of engravings are not as clear as the original 1938 edition or the 1971 printing. The 1971 edition is the preferred edition. Although this printing claims to be "Revised and expanded", other than the new 1971 introduction by Hall, this is page-for-page the same content as the 1938 edition. Contains fold-out plate of the Magical Calendar of Tycho Brahe. VERY GOOD MINUS, spine detached along front gutter, needs repair.

Another key element of its ritual, the elaborate Seal of God, has been found in texts and amulets throughout Europe.
Interest in The Sworn Book of Honorius has grown in recent years, yet no modern translations have been attemptedunt...
