The pamphlet and booklet collection of Prof. Wilhelm Holmqvist, offered as a collection only. (Used)
by (Archaeology). [Holmqvist
Book ID: 10825, 10825
1,291 items, all paperbound, 99% on archaeology, most in Swedish, many in other Scandinavian languages, some in German, an occasional few in Finnish, Italian, French, Spanish. About 35% have WH's autographed signature in pen or pencil on, or inside the cover. About 65% are offprints of one type or another, the majority of the rest are periodicals, serials, or scholarly pamphlets. Most date from 1940-1970 but some as early as 1900 and a few as late as 1980. There are one or two copies of dozens of WH's journal articles, book reviews, and essays, (NB: we are only charging for one of each title). A complete bibliography of his writings, published upon his death is included.
Periodicals and serials like Mannus, Oldtiden, Fynd, Praehistorische Zeitschrift, Acta Archaeologica, Kuml, are well represented, but the vast majority of the titles here are offprints that fellow archaeologists sent WH when published, often with kind notes on the covers. Many are only 5-10pp each but most are 20-30pp each with some over 100pp. About 20% are autographed presentation copies from other archaeologists. About 90% are in fine condition, 10% may be loose, chipped, worn and/or browned from age. Some have pencil marginalia by previous owners. Many come from the libraries of Jan Petersen and Andreas Oldberg, with their signatures on the front covers. Other archaeologists names appear in other volumes (not as presentations). It would appear that WH inherited or acquired a number of libraries.

The Sworn Book of Honorius: Liber Iuratus Honorii
Honorius of Thebes
Ibis Press / Nicolas-Hayes
As the title testifies, students were sworn to secrecy before being given access to this magic text, and only a few manuscripts have survived. Bits of its teachings, such as the use of the magic whistle for summoning spirits, are alluded to in other texts. Another key element of its ritual, the elaborate Seal of God, has been found in texts and amulets throughout Europe.
Interest in The Sworn Book of Honorius has grown in recent years, yet no modern translations have been attemptedunt...
